The commissioning inspection of the buildings at the Inkoo compressor station took place on 5 July 2019 and established that the compressor station’s buildings were ready for use. The buildings were inspected by Inkoo municipality’s building inspector and Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department’s inspector.

Pipeline installation of the offshore part of Balticconnector, the Estonian-Finnish gas interconnection, will begin today. In 2018 all preparatory offshore works were completed, and the seabed is now ready for the pipeline to be installed.
With reference to the capacity at disposal in 2020 announced by the market participants, that is based on that Finland’s compression station and offshore pipeline will be ready on time by the end of this year.
Preparatory work for the offshore pipeline of the Balticconnector project was completed in March.
The main equipment have been delivered on Thursday 28 March 2019 to the Balticconnector project compression station in Inkoo. The equipment includes a compressor unit and its auxiliaries. Equipment installation has started and will be completed in April 2019. After that, installation work will continue with the installation of pipelines and cables related to the equipment.
The agreement negotiations lead by Baltic Connector Oy had concluded into agreement signing on February 14, 2019 with the gas transmission system operators (TSOs) of Finland, Estonia and Latvia.
