The excavation work of the Balticconnector project began Friday 13 July. The work progressed well and was completed Monday 16 July. At the end of the week, the work will continue with blasting work in the outer archipelago, around 20 kilometres from the shore.

Baltic Connector Oy organizes a public information event on Tuesday 15th May at 6 pm in Inkoo at the Great hall of Wilhelmsdal (Ola Westmanin puistotie 1, Inkoo).
On 3 May 2018, Baltic Connector signed a contract with RTA-yhtiöt Oy for the construction work to be carried out at Inkoo compressor station. The contract covers excavation and foundation work as well as construction engineering work.
Baltic Connector Oy and Elering AS have made an agreement on offshore pipeline installation work with Allseas. The agreement was signed on 29 March 2018, and it is the largest works contract in the Balticconnector project.
Financial councellor Jarmo Väisänen (66) has been appointed as a new Member of the Baltic Connector Oy’s Board. Väisänen has a noteworthy experience in board work in over 30 different companies, which amongst others include listed companies like Kemira and Sponda.
