Baltic Connector Oy has chosen Neste Jacobs Oy and Ramboll Finland Oy as consultants for the Owner’s Engineering. Agreements signed today, 17 November 2016, concern the Finnish onshore

gas pipeline as well as the offshore gas pipeline section between Finland and Estonia. The experts at Neste Jacobs Oy will support the execution of the onshore gas pipeline and the compressor
station. Respectively, Ramboll supports the execution of the offshore gas pipeline.

Neste Jacobs is one of the Nordic region’s leading provider of technology, engineering and project services for the oil and gas, biorefining, petrochemicals and chemicals industries. Ramboll has been engaged in several offshore gas pipeline projects in the North Sea area during the last years.

Balticconnector connects the gas networks of Finland and Estonia through a 150 kilometer long bidirectional gas transmission pipeline, from which 80 kilometer will be constructed offshore. The
project enables the interconnection and integration of the Baltic and Finnish gas markets to EU’s internal energy markets.

The Finnish state owned company Baltic Connector Oy and the Estonian transmission network company Elering AS are responsible for the construction of the Balticconnector gas pipeline. The
estimated total investment cost is EUR 250 million and 75 per cent of this amount will be co-funded by the European Commission. The interconnecting pipeline is expected to be completed by 2020.
